Going back to South Africa and a couple more from Etosha

As I was scrolling through way too many photos (it's interesting how the first few animals you see, you click away like it's all you are going to see.  Not so in reality, you actually see better and closer up further down the road!), I realized that I had some memories of a bird I photographed very early on in the trip.  These birds are super cute and have very distinctive circular nests in all the trees.

Check it out:

OK, going back to Etosha National Park.

Zebras = Disco Donkeys = Punda melia (literal translation: Striped Donkey).  Did you know their stripes change depending on the temperature regulation they need?  Too hot - less black.  Too cold? - more black.

Lots of pretty, colorful birds everywhere.  You'll see others in later blogs!

They are hard to appreciate, but hundreds of flamingos.  Of course they decided to park themselves in an inaccessible part of the Park.

This dude was pretty beat up - definitely lived a hard life.

OK, hopefully more tomorrow...  If I have internet access at the new digs in Florence.
