It reminded me a lot of the big island of Hawaii, which is a good, familiar feeling. :)
The first day, I headed off to Orongo which has a beautiful sweetwater filled crater. But what Orongo really is is a sacred place where there is a stone village used for ceremonial rites. They have restored the stone village so that we can see what it was like.
