South of Avignon is a beautiful National Preserve called the Camargue. Similar to Chincoteague in Virginia, there are wild horses that live in this region. We were lucky enough to find them and spot them, but not the flamingos which had left about 3 weeks before we arrived! We were really happy to have gone here to explore.
