A monument to love.
Girls sigh and ooh and ahh over the Taj Mahal. I mean what's not to love? The story is sigh-inducing (Maharajah built the Taj Mahal as a mausoleum after his wife died giving birth to their 14th child). He died looking at the Taj Mahal.
Boys? Of course they like the Red Fort more, "it's practical." :)
My girls and I had a fantastic day at the Taj Mahal not only because of the beauty but because of the afternoon of posing, betting, and giggling. For goodness' sake, it involved a hand-shaking procession, getting moved by the guards twice because we were disrupting the flow of the line (totally not on purpose!), and constant betting that there would be 7 more requests in the next 10 minutes for a posed picture with the very blond girl! Too much fun.
