I was so sick the day after... I just needed out from altitude and they almost jeeped me faster down. But I persevered and went with the group. But remember very little of it.
Also, I had had a very lovely story from the day before. I had lost a luggage lock at Sakya, I knew I had! I was resigned to the loss. However, on the second high mountain pass of the day, I looked out of our bus and right there - my local tour guide and driver were playing with a luggage lock! He was clearly going to try every set of numbers to get it open. I looked and I looked and couldn't quite believe it, but it really looked like my luggage lock! I knocked on the window, indicated it was mine and went to retrieve it. Sure enough, it was mine! How's that for good karma? Some other group had found it in the parking area of the hotel we were at, took it, and just gave it to our leader/driver when they got to the mountain pass. No real reason they chose our group except that we happened to be there. How crazy is that?
